OnTour Media tees off the 2005 U.S. Women's Open
Denver, CO - June 19, 2004 - To mark the beginning of the one-year
championship countdown, OnTour Media teamed with the 2005 U.S. Women's
Open to host a Tee Off Party in the heart of the stylish Cherry
Creek North shopping district. In addition to USWO ticket and merchandise
sales, the event attracted a range of exhibitors, including ESPN,
Colorado AvidGolfer Magazine, Bogart Golf, Birdie Ball, Open Fairways,
Tour Play synthetic putting greens, Jamba Juice and Pepsi.
The 2005 U. S. Women's
Open will be contested at historic Cherry Hills Country Club
in Denver, Colorado, June 23-26, 2005. Championship director Douglas
Habgood has been in Denver since the winter of 2003, working out
logistics, recruiting volunteers and managing all production details
for the championship. Building on the sucess of the Tee-Off Party,
OnTour Media and the U.S. Women's Open are working together to develop
a fullly interactive golf experience-Championship Village-to run
in conjunction with the 2005 national championship.

When the 60th U.S. Women's open is played at Cherry Hills Country
Club, the classic Willam Flynn designed course will become the first
18-hole layout to host the United States Golf Association's four
most treasured events- the U.S. Open, the U.S. Women's Open, the
U.S. Senior Open and the U.S. Amateur.
